Tattoo questions
Do you offer custom tattoos?
Yes, most of the work at Synergy Body Art is custom. You bring the idea, references and placement, and your artist draws an original design built for your body, your size and the style you want. Custom work usually starts with a consultation so the artist can plan the composition, and you review the design before the tattoo begins.
What tattoo styles do your artists cover?
The Synergy Body Art team covers custom, fine line, black and grey, realism, colour, lettering, geometric, ornamental, illustrative, traditional, flash, large-scale and cover-up tattoos. Our tattoo services page explains each style and which artist fits it best.
Do you take tattoo walk-ins?
Yes, when an artist is free. Availability depends on the day and which artists are in, so call 720-670-0827 before making the trip to Colorado Mills. Book through the tattoo booking link to guarantee a time.
How long will my tattoo take?
It depends on the size, detail and placement. Small, simple pieces can be quick, while detailed realism or large projects may need several sessions. Your artist will give you a realistic estimate during the consultation.
Can you cover an existing tattoo?
Often, yes. Bring clear photos to a consultation. The darkness, size and placement of the existing tattoo determine what is realistic, and the new design usually needs to be larger and darker.
Do you do large projects like sleeves?
Yes. Sleeves, back pieces and other large-scale projects are planned across multiple sessions, starting with a layout consultation about the subjects, flow and any existing tattoos you want to work around.
Can I get a tattoo touched up?
Talk to your artist once the tattoo is fully healed so they can see how it settled. Contact the studio to confirm current touch-up arrangements.
Piercing questions
What piercings do you offer?
Synergy Body Art offers ear, cartilage, nose, septum, lip, eyebrow, navel, facial and body piercings, plus curated ear styling, jewelry changes and downsizing. Dermal and advanced requests start with a consultation.
Do I need an appointment for a piercing?
An appointment is the best way to guarantee a time with a piercer, and you can book directly through the piercing booking link. Walk-ins are welcome when a piercer is free, but availability changes day to day, so call 720-670-0827 before you come to Colorado Mills.
What ID do I need?
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with their own ID and consent, and some services have extra age requirements. Call to confirm before your visit.
Can I get multiple piercings at once?
Often, yes, depending on the placements and how they will heal together. Your piercer will tell you whether to do them together or stage them over visits.
How long does a piercing take to heal?
Healing time depends heavily on the placement. Lobes usually heal faster, while cartilage, navel and other placements can take several months or longer. A piercing often looks healed on the outside before it is fully healed inside, so keep following aftercare and check with your Synergy Body Art piercer before changing jewelry.
What is a curated ear?
A curated ear is a planned arrangement of piercings and jewelry across the ear, designed as one balanced look instead of separate, random additions. It works with your anatomy and existing piercings and is often built over several visits.
Do you pierce with a needle or a gun?
Piercing method and jewelry are discussed with you at your appointment. Ask your piercer directly about the approach for your specific placement.
Booking & consultation
How do I book an appointment?
Use the Book Appointment button on any page. Tattoo buttons open the tattoo booking form and piercing buttons open the piercing booking form. You can also call the studio at 720-670-0827 during opening hours.
What happens at a consultation?
You share your references, placement and rough size. The artist or piercer talks through style, scale, jewelry and anything the project needs, answers your questions and plans the next steps, including how many sessions it may take.
Can I request a specific artist?
Yes. Name them in your booking request. If a different artist on the team is a better fit for the style or subject, the studio will tell you.
How much will my tattoo or piercing cost?
Pricing is quoted individually, because size, detail, placement, time and jewelry all affect the cost. Book a consultation or call 720-670-0827 with your idea for an accurate quote.
Do I need a consultation before booking a tattoo?
For custom work, large projects and cover-ups, a consultation is the best place to start. Smaller or flash pieces can sometimes be booked directly, so call the studio to check.
What if I need to reschedule?
Contact the studio as early as possible at 720-670-0827. Early notice helps the artist fill the time and makes it easier to find you a new slot. Call to confirm the current scheduling requirements for your appointment.
Can I book for someone else as a gift?
Contact the studio at 720-670-0827 to confirm current options before making arrangements.
Jewelry
Do you sell body jewelry?
Yes. Synergy Body Art carries titanium and gold jewelry, gemstone pieces including opal and diamond, statement designs, minimal everyday pieces and premium upgrades. Visit the Colorado Mills studio to shop and get professionally fitted.
Can I bring my own jewelry?
Bring it in to be checked first. The material, size and threading all need inspecting before a piece goes into a piercing.
Can you change jewelry in a piercing I got elsewhere?
Yes. Jewelry changes, fittings, upgrades and downsizing are all available, no matter where you were originally pierced.
What is downsizing?
New piercings start with a longer post to allow for swelling. Once swelling settles, a shorter post reduces movement and snagging and helps the piercing heal better. Most piercings benefit from a downsize.
When can I change the jewelry in a new piercing?
Only once your piercer says the piercing is ready. Changing jewelry too early can irritate healing tissue and set healing back. Come in and let the studio handle the first change or downsize, and follow the aftercare rule of not removing or rotating jewelry during healing.
Aftercare
How do I care for a new tattoo?
Follow the studio's aftercare: keep it clean and dry for the first 24 hours, then wash gently with mild soap and water twice a day. Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer, never pick or scratch, avoid direct sunlight and swimming for at least two weeks, and wear loose clothing. See our tattoo aftercare page for full details.
How do I clean a new piercing?
Always wash your hands before touching or cleaning your piercing. Don't use alcohol, Neosporin or Betadine, and keep creams, makeup, moisturizers and perfumes off the area. In the shower, keep soaps and shampoos away from the piercing and rinse thoroughly. Don't remove or rotate the jewelry while it heals.
Is peeling and itching normal while a tattoo heals?
Yes. Mild redness, tenderness, itching, flaking and peeling are all common during healing. Don't pick or scratch, since that can pull out ink. Keep a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer on it and let it settle on its own.
When can I swim after a tattoo or piercing?
For tattoos, avoid swimming of any kind for at least two weeks, including pools, hot tubs, lakes and rivers. For piercings, keep them out of the water until healed and ask your piercer about timing for your placement.
What if my tattoo or piercing looks irritated?
Contact the studio and the team will help you work out what to do. For piercings, don't remove the jewelry yourself. If you see signs of infection, such as excessive redness, swelling or pus, seek medical attention immediately.
